Basically, it comes to elementary’s beautiful and practical design. And that paired with a conscious decision to make functionality the clear and concise, to minimize the confusion to the users. This OS is certainly not for everyone. But for people interested it moving from Windows or MacOS to Linux, elementary OS is possibly the best option for them to start with.
